JSC has a wide-array of approved figure skating coaches available to our members! All of our coaches are dedicated to their skaters in helping them obtain whatever goals they may have in figure skating; whether it be to become a serious competitive skater, master skating elements, perform in shows, or, to just learn basic skating elements.
Tier III – Minimum Requirements USFS Double Gold Medalist Member of PSA (Professional Skating Association) 5+ years of coaching experience outside of our Learn-To-Skate Program 18 years of age or older Tier III coaches are devoted to coaching as their career. They spend time on and off ice "managing" their students skating path for testing and competitions and often assist other full or part coaches with supplemental lessons for skaters.
Tier II – Minimum Requirements USFS Gold Medalist 2-5 years of coaching experience outside of our Learn-To-Skate Program 16 years of age or older Tier II coaches are accomplished skaters who are in high school or college. They are still actively skating at a competitive level themselves. They are devoted to the development of their skater, but may not be available to attend testing sessions or competition events.
Tier I – Minimum Requirements USFS Gold Medalist 0-2 years of coaching experience outside of our Learn-To-Skate Program 15 years of age or older Tier I coaches are accomplished skaters who are limited in their coaching time due to their school schedules and are still actively training as skaters.
Specialty Coach USFS Double Gold Medalist
18 years of age or older
2-5 years of coaching outside of our Learn-To-Skate Program
Training Certification/Degree in their prospective specialty field.

In addition to our home coaching staff, we also have approved guest coaches available to members for lessons on JSC Ice. If you are interested in taking lessons with a guest coach, please remember to talk to your primary coach first.
